丽莎·格罗夫 is principal oboist with the Springfield Symphony Orchestra and a member of the Springfield Symphony Woodwind Quintet. She has performed as soloist with the orchestra in Jean Françaix’s oboe concerto L’Horloge de flore (The Flower Clock) and J.S. 巴赫的 Concerto for Violin and 双簧管. She has also performed the Bach double with the Cedarville Orchestra and performed with both Wittenberg University's band (Autumn Soliloquy) and orchestra (安静的城市). 除了, she is an associate with the Columbus Symphony and has performed with Pro音乐a Chamber Orchestra, Ohio Valley Symphony, and Richmond Symphony, as well as with a variety of artists including Andrea Bocelli, 迈克尔W. Smith, Amy Grant, Johnny Mathis, and The Who.
除了 to teaching oboe, 丽莎·格罗夫 teaches the Woodwind Instruments class for music education students at Wittenberg. She performs with the Wittenberg Woodwind Quintet. She has given masterclasses both alone and with colleagues from Wittenberg.
丽莎·格罗夫 earned Bachelor of 音乐 and Bachelor of 音乐 Education degrees at The Ohio State University, where she studied with Robert Sorton (former assistant principal oboist with the Detroit Symphony) and graduated magna cum laude. Lisa earned a Master of 音乐 degree at Carnegie Mellon University, where she studied with Cynthia DeAlmeida (principal oboist with the Pittsburgh Symphony) and was accepted into Pi Kappa Lambda, an honorary society whose membership is based on both musical and academic achievement. As a graduate student, Grove performed in such venues as Symphony Hall in Boston and Carnegie Hall in New York City.
丽莎·格罗夫 joined the Wittenberg faculty in 2006.
