Career Services at Wittenberg is pleased to offer various opportunities and events to students on a seasonal basis. All events are geared towards vocational discernment, professional development, and career readiness.

Liberal Arts All-Star Alumni Panel

  • Date & Time: March 16 (4 – 5 p.m.)
  • Location: Shouvlin 201
  • Description: This panel of All-Star Alumni will discuss how they used their liberal arts education to leverage careers in a field not directly related to their degree. They found a path forward, but maybe not a linear path. Students will have an opportunity to get connected with possible internships after the panel discussion.

Nursing MVP Spotlight (Career Fair)

  • Date & Time: March 18 (11 a.m. – 2 p.m.)
  • Location: Shouvlin 105 A/B
  • Description: This career fair for nursing students will feature up to 10 hospitals from major metropolitan cities in Ohio. The demand is high for our nursing students!

Pre-Med/Exercise Science All-Star Alumni Panel

  • Date & Time: March 18 (4 – 5:30 p.m.)
  • Location: Bayley Auditorium (Science Center)
  • Description: This panel of All-Star Alumni in the medical field (sports and family medicine, neurology, and orthopedics) will share their experiences and tips/tricks for medical school followed by an opportunity to discuss shadowing opportunities in breakout sessions.

Master of Divinity Conversation

  • Date & Time: March 21 (4 – 5 p.m.)
  • Location: Virtual
  • Description: This panel is for anyone considering a M.Div. You don't have to be a religion major to learn more.

Social Justice & Legal Careers All-Star Alumni Conversation

  • Date & Time: March 23 (4 – 5:30 p.m.)
  • Location: Bayley Auditorium (Science Center)
  • Description: This conversation with professionals blends old school with new school as alumni Janet Jackson talks shares her career path and talks with attorney Sean Walton about his social justice work in the Columbus, Ohio area. Both of them will be sharing their career paths, education, history in law and their past and current work in Columbus (and elsewhere). The goal is for both professionals to share their stories and have encouraging words/advice for students who are interested in social justice, law, public policy, politics, and even the undecided.

Future Four Workshops

PathwayU

  • Date & Time: March 15 (4 – 5 p.m.)
  • Location: Virtual
  • Description: Students will be able to explore their personal and professional interests through this informative workshop. Participants will be able to begin to connect their interests with their job search.

Leadership Discussion

  • Date & Time: March 28 (4 – 5 p.m.)
  • Location: Blair 108
  • Description: Students will walk away with tangible tips on how to take initiative, be assertive, and stand out in this new competitive employment environment.

Why You? Mock Interviews

  • Date & Time: March 24 & 25 (8:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.)
  • Location: Virtual
  • Description: Students will have an opportunity to practice interviewing and get valuable feedback from alumni in various career fields. Students often make connections that land them internships and jobs after the interviews. Talk about networking! Email batest@uupt.net for sign up information.

Resume & Professional Headshot Drop-In Hours

  • Date & Time: April 6 (1 – 5 p.m.) and April 7 (10 a.m. – 2 p.m.)
  • Location: COMPASS, Thomas Library
  • Description: Students can stop in and get their resumés reviewed/revised and have professional head shots taken.
