You Gave Like You!
Together, our alumni and friends stepped up during our annual Commit to Witt, March 13. From unlocking multiple challenges to a record-breaking number of donors, Tiger Nation came through. THANK YOU for passing your light once again. Please enjoy a snapshot of this year's success.
FIRE Week 2024
Traveling across the country and outside the United States, students explored, engaged, and connected with faculty, staff, and others in 16 exciting opportunities as part of this year’s Focused, Integrated, Reflective Experience (FIRE) Week, Feb. 26 - March 1. These in-depth experiences allow students to put theory into practice, connect with community leaders and alums, and practice critical thinking and collaboration.
On Stage: The Jon Irabagon Quartet
A night of mesmerizing and innovative sounds at the forefront of the contemporary jazz scene is coming to Wittenberg as part of the 2023-2024 Wittenberg Series. The Jon Irabagon Quartet, led by the virtuosic saxophonist Jon Irabagon, will present a special concert at 7 p.m. on Monday, March 18, in Weaver Chapel.
Super Opportunity
Alan Ledford, associate professor of sport management and director of Wittenberg's Master of Sport Administration program, coordinated a volunteer work experience that allowed six students to spend Super Bowl weekend in Las Vegas for the big event. The students were members of the customer service staff, assisting the thousands of guests attending the many events and activities associated with the Super Bowl.
Providing Continuity and Support
Wittenberg has signed a Teach-Out Partner agreement with Notre Dame College (NDC) in South Euclid, Ohio. NDC recently announced that it will end in-person instruction at the close of spring semester 2024. With this new agreement, Wittenberg is among 11 partner colleges and universities where current NDC students can continue their education, beginning with the 2024-25 academic year.
#LifeAtWitt
Ask around campus about junior Cameron Elliott, and the same word almost always comes up — fast. The psychology major from Springfield, Ohio, is a standout on both the men's soccer and track and field teams.
